Holiday Giveaways – 2 Pairs of “Diamond” Earrings AND a Ring

It’s known that Form Follows Function. Best objects around you are “best” because they fulfill a functional need, and shaped in a way that’s related to that function. But sometimes, Form Follows Feeling for us. This is something we can’t really explain, just describe a range of emotions and senses about an object. Today’s giveaways (!) fall under this category and add to this a witty design and the love of jewelry and materials… and you’ve got a perfect giveaway! Today’s giveaways are 2 pairs of Graphic Diamond Earrings (gold-plated and sterling silver), and an Architectural Structure Geometric Gold Ring by Osnat Har-Noy. What a better way is there to end our 10-days Thanksgiving Giveaways event, if not with a bling?

Osnat Har-Noy’s collections vary in shapes, materials and styles, but what connects them all is the research and explorations of shapes and materials, and what can be done when combining the two. How delicacy is achieved even when using a “rough” material and how combining two contradicting materials can create a beautiful piece of jewelry that’s influenced by the two.

The Collection features mainly hand-made jewelry (you can also find Snowflakes Cufflinks for men there, which make a perfect gift!) which we also find witty, such as the Graphic Diamond Collection “I’ve always wanted a pair of diamond earrings” says Osnat, “since I could not afford a pair I decided to make a one. That’s how a desire of mine turned into a design”.

my dancer project

yes you heard it right...we had to design objects for a certain dance or one we choose to direct and perform..just the thought of it excites me all over again.

i remember standing on the stage, with my back to the crowd i thought they could hear my heart as well.

my so called dance was no dance at all, but a series of movement/jesters. fractions of the daily movement we make in everyday life. all i did was allowing them to become slow..very slow..so slow you could appreciate the smallest movement.

'My Space' ring

It all started out from a 'house' or more accurate than that, ME.

Just like every one else I thought , what is my meaning in this world, or better yet, how can I define MY SPACE using jewelry design.
So, in the beginning of 2006, I created this ring called 'MY SPACE' (no connection to the website of course).

Can you see the architectural appartment from the top view?
Well, that was my apartment at the time, located in the center of Tel-Aviv, Israel.
A living area (top left), a bed room with a balcony (left), bathroom and the kitchen (top right).
You can even see the stairs leading to the appartment on the right hand side of the ring.

that's my first entry and I can easily say that for once I'm speechless and i'm one for words...

You see, a wise man told me recently how can I touch and share with you the passion evolves design and making jewelry.
I guess you can say that for a long period of time I did not know what is it that I'll become when I grow up.
But I did know I was curios.
And so, while I was attending Shenkar College of Engineering and Design http://www.shenkar.ac.il/site/general/Homepage_EN.asp, on my 3rd year, while in between semesters, I decided it was time to go public with my designs.

it wasn't easy, I thought I will arrange my designs on the table and poof, I will change the world. I still hear people ask: "square rings? is it comfortable? " , all those myth's .
